At Northcoast Outfitters we prize habitat conservation and consider ourselves stewards of the land. When we were in Arcata we fenced off several sloughs and a pond so that cattle couldn’t get into them. In Bear River we raked a lot of brush, replanting with clovers for the cattle, deer and quail, as well as replanted redwood trees. When we moved to Loleta we cleared a pond that had been silted in. Last year we had at least 150 mallards coming into the pond.

We can guide you through some of the best nature trails in the county, perfect for an unforgettable hike, or even professional photo shoots in which we can attempt to call up game for you to photograph.
